Literally every single flavor of charlastor is perfect. Alternate canon where they have a romantic arc of Charlie bringing out a soft side to Alastor while he makes her stronger and more confident in herself? Perfect. Alastor being completely utterly obsessed with her even though his feelings are unrequited and Charlie only sees him as a friend at most? Perfect. Human 1920s AU? Perfect. Alastor is his creepy, vile, menacing self but around Charlie he’s an absolute sweetheart who does anything for her bc she’s the only exception? Perfect. Demon Alastor hunting for prey x unsuspecting human Charlie? Perfect. Vise versa, demon succubus Charlie x human Alastor who summons her to cause chaos and instead he falls in love with her? Perfect.

Thinking of fallen angels who become more human the longer they’re stuck on earth,, in my head angels are supposed to be perfect as a foil to human beings, so what happens when an angel is not deemed worthy anymore ?

Maybe their joints start hurting. Maybe when they get hurt the scars don’t fade away as much as they used to. Maybe they start to get little imperfections on their face, maybe moles start appearing all over their body.

All the little things that some humans consider flaws, maybe that fallen angel learns to love them. Maybe the more human they look, the more comfortable they grow with their situation.

And maybe, just maybe, living a human life isn’t so bad after all.

Busy thinking about the similarities between Steven and Finn (obviously there are going to be some similarities since both shows aired around the same time and there’s overlap between the crews)

Both grew up going on adventures and received boatloads of trauma from it

Grew into adults not really sure how to handle their trauma so they use other techniques:

Getting super buff and becoming more violent (more so for Steven)

Insisting that everything is fine when it most definitely isn’t

Fixing everyone around them because they don’t know how to “fix” themselves (also "No prob, Bob" parallel!)

It's interesting though that Steven spends most of Future trying to move away from his past self (where most of the bad stuff happened) and not “be that little kid anymore”, while Finn’s bad stuff is currently happening in the present and will continue to follow him into the future so he’s actively regressing into his past self where it was still just a boy and his dog.
